Terms of Service.
These terms apply when you use Anvil at anvil.thultz.dev, its API, and the in-game anvil program (together, “Anvil”). By using Anvil you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Anvil.
What Anvil is
Anvil lets you write, run, store and share Lua programs for the CC: Tweaked Minecraft mod. It includes an in-browser CraftOS computer, a public library of scripts, and optional AI features that write, fix and explain code. Anvil is not affiliated with Mojang, Microsoft or the CC: Tweaked project.
Your account
- You sign in with GitHub. You're responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your upload keys private.
- You must be at least 13 years old, or older if your country requires it, to create an account.
- You can delete your scripts at any time. To close your account, contact us (see below).
Your scripts
- You keep ownership of the code you publish. You must have the right to publish it.
- You let us store, display and distribute your scripts as needed to run Anvil, according to the visibility you choose. Public scripts can be viewed, run, installed and forked by anyone; unlisted scripts by anyone with the link; private scripts only by you and your upload keys.
- If you want others to be able to reuse a public script under specific terms, say so in its description (for example, name an open source license).
Acceptable use
Don't use Anvil to publish or build:
- malware, or programs that damage, spy on or take over other players' computers, accounts or servers;
- tools meant to grief or disrupt servers you don't have permission to test;
- code you don't have the right to share, or content that is illegal, hateful or harassing;
- anything that overloads Anvil or works around its limits, allowances or payments.
We may hide or remove scripts, and suspend accounts, that break these rules or that are reported and found harmful. Use the Report button on a script to flag a problem.
AI features
- AI answers are generated by third-party language models and can be wrong, incomplete or unsafe. Read and test code before running it on a server you care about.
- Your AI use is limited by a 5-hour and a weekly allowance that depend on your plan, measured by what each request costs to run. Allowances, models and features may change.
- What you send with an AI request (your prompt, your files and any error text) is sent to our AI provider to produce the answer. See the Privacy Policy.
Paid plans and purchases
- Anvil Pro costs $5 per month (plus any applicable taxes) and renews automatically each month until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time from Manage billing on your dashboard. Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
- Credit packs add AI usage that doesn't expire while Anvil operates; credits can't be transferred or exchanged for money. Window resets restart your 5-hour window immediately.
- Credit packs and window resets are available to Pro members.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We don't see or store your card details.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply from your next billing period.
- Refunds are covered by the Refund Policy.
Availability
We try to keep Anvil running, but it's provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. Features may change or be discontinued. Keep your own copies of scripts that matter to you.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data or damage caused by running scripts from Anvil, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be waived.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is significant we'll give notice on the site before it applies. Continuing to use Anvil after that means you accept the updated terms.
